न हाकामेन संवासं मनुरेवं प्रशंसति । अयशस्यथमधर्म्य च यन्मृषा धर्मकोपनम्‌

na hākāmena saṃvāsaṃ manur evaṃ praśaṃsati | ayaśasyam adharmyaṃ ca yan mṛṣā dharmakopanam ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Manu không tán thành việc chung sống khi không có sự ưng thuận của cả hai. Vì thế, toan tính làm cho một cuộc hôn nhân đã được mọi người đồng thuận trở nên vô hiệu là nguồn cơn ô nhục và phi nghĩa; điều ấy bị xem là hành vi phá hoại chính dharma.”
