स्थितिं च धर्मे जग्राह स तस्माद्‌ गुरुवत्सल: । अनुज्ञातश्न गुरुणा चचारानुत्तमं तप:

Transliteration

sthitiṁ ca dharme jagrāha sa tasmād guruvatsalaḥ | anujñātaś ca guruṇā cacārānuttamaṁ tapaḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: Vì vậy, Vipula, người hết lòng kính mến thầy, đã cầu xin và đạt được sự an trụ bền vững trong dharma. Rồi, được thầy cho phép, chàng thực hành khổ hạnh tối thượng để sự gắn bó với chính đạo không bao giờ đứt đoạn.
