Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
ख्यातिर्यस्या: खं दिवं गां च नित्यं पुरा दिशो विदिशश्चवावतस्थे । तस्या जल सेव्य सरिद्वराया मर्त्या: सर्वे कृतकृत्या भवन्ति
khyātir yasyāḥ khaṃ divaṃ gāṃ ca nityaṃ purā diśo vidiśaś caivāvatiṣṭhe | tasyā jalaṃ sevya saridvarāyā martyāḥ sarve kṛtakṛtyā bhavanti ||
Danh tiếng của nàng từ thuở xưa đã lan khắp trời cao, cõi thiên và mặt đất, lại luôn vững bền trong mọi phương và mọi phương phụ. Uống nước của dòng sông tối thượng ấy—Bhagavatī Bhāgīrathī—thì hết thảy phàm nhân đều được viên mãn, như đã hoàn thành điều thật sự cần làm.
