Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
व्यसनैरभितप्तस्य नरस्य विनशिष्यत: । गड्जादर्शनजा प्रीतिव्यसनान्यपकर्षति
vyasanair abhitaptasya narasya vinaśiṣyataḥ | gaṅgā-darśana-jā prītir vyasanāny apakarṣati ||
Một người bị tai ương thiêu đốt và đang trượt dần vào diệt vong—dẫu ở ngay bờ vực cái chết—nếu được chiêm bái sông Hằng (Gaṅgā), niềm hỷ lạc sinh từ cái thấy ấy liền dấy lên trong lòng và tức khắc cuốn đi mọi khổ lụy, xua tan nỗi đau do bất hạnh gây ra.
