Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities

ते संविभक्ता मुनिभिरननुनं देवैः सवासवै: । येडभिगच्छन्ति सततं गड्जां मतिमतां वर

te saṁvibhaktā munibhir anunūnaṁ devaiḥ savāsavaiḥ | ye ’bhigacchanti satataṁ gaṅgāṁ matimatāṁ vara ||

Những người luôn luôn hành hương đến sông Hằng (Gaṅgā) chắc chắn là kẻ thọ nhận ân huệ riêng biệt và dồi dào từ các bậc hiền triết và từ chư thiên—cùng với Vāsava (Indra). Bậc Siddha xác quyết rằng cuộc hành hương bền bỉ như thế thu hút ân phúc của thần linh và khổ hạnh giả, khiến người hành hương được ghi nhận là kẻ cầu sự thanh tịnh và sống trong lòng kính trọng đối với dharma.
