Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
वैवाहिकानां द्रव्याणां प्रेष्याणां च युधिष्ठिर । दातारो वाससां चैव ते नरा: स्वर्गगामिन:,युधिष्ठिर! जो वैवाहिक द्रव्य, दास-दासी तथा वस्त्र दान करते हैं, वे मनुष्य स्वर्गगामी होते हैं
vaivāhikānāṃ dravyāṇāṃ preṣyāṇāṃ ca yudhiṣṭhira | dātāro vāsasāṃ caiva te narāḥ svargagāminaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi Yudhiṣṭhira, những người bố thí của cải dùng cho lễ cưới, lại cho cả người hầu (nô bộc) và y phục—những bậc thí chủ ấy ắt được lên cõi trời.”
