विषये वासवस्तस्य सम्यगेव प्रवर्षति । इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी और युद्धसे कभी पीछे न हटनेवाले राजा दुर्योधनके राज्यमें इन्द्र सदा ठीक समयपर और उचित मात्रामें ही वर्षा करते थे

Transliteration

viṣaye vāsavas tasya samyag eva pravarṣati |

Translation

Bhishma nói: Trong cõi nước của vị vua ấy, Vāsava (Indra) ban mưa một cách hoàn toàn đúng mực—đúng mùa, đúng lượng. Lời này vẽ nên vương quốc của Duryodhana như một nơi phồn thịnh và trật tự ở bề ngoài, nhưng cũng ngầm nhắc rằng những vấn đề sâu xa về chính nghĩa và hạnh kiểm phải được dharma phán xét, chứ không thể chỉ đo bằng sự sung túc hay mưa thuận gió hòa.
