रुद्र-स्तवराजः (Rudra-Stavarāja) — Exempla of Śiva’s Boons and the Hymn’s Phalaśruti
ye sarvabhāvānugatāḥ prapadyante maheśvaram | prapannavatsalo devaḥ saṃsārāt tān samuddharet ||
Vāyu nói: “Những ai đem trọn mọi tâm tình mà quy y Maheśvara—Mahādeva, đấng thương yêu kẻ đã quy phục—thì Ngài nâng họ lên và cứu họ thoát khỏi xiềng xích của luân hồi.”
वायुदेव उवाच
Wholehearted refuge in Maheśvara is presented as spiritually efficacious: the Lord, characterized as prapannavatsala (tender toward the surrendered), grants deliverance from saṃsāra. Ethically, it commends sincerity, inner alignment, and trust, while portraying divine compassion as responsive to genuine surrender.
In Anuśāsana Parva’s instructive discourse, Vāyudeva speaks a praise-teaching: he describes the fate of those who surrender to Maheśvara, asserting that Mahādeva rescues such devotees from worldly bondage. The verse functions as a doctrinal assurance within a larger didactic context.
