शूद्रो5हं नाधिकारो मे चातुराश्रम्यसेवने । इति विज्ञानमपरे नात्मन्युपदधत्युत
śūdro ’haṃ nādhikāro me cāturāśramya-sevane | iti vijñānam apare nātmany upadadhaty uta ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Có kẻ nghĩ: ‘Ta là Śūdra, nên ta không có quyền thực hành bốn āśrama (như brahmacarya).’ Nhưng những người thật sự hiền thiện trong hàng ‘hai lần sinh’ không dung chứa trong lòng sự tự hạn chế đầy dối trá như thế.”
