Anuśāsana-parva 17
महातपा घोरतपा अदीनो दीनसाधक: । संवत्सरकरो मन्त्र: प्रमाणं परमं तप:
mahātapā ghoratapā adīno dīnasādhakaḥ | saṃvatsarakaro mantraḥ pramāṇaṃ paramaṃ tapaḥ ||
Thần Vāyu nói: “Ngài là bậc đại khổ hạnh, có khổ hạnh khiến người kính sợ—cao quý, không hề ti tiện—Đấng làm trọn điều mong cầu cho kẻ khốn cùng tìm đến nương tựa. Ngài là Đấng tạo nên năm tháng, là chính hình thể của thần chú (như âm thiêng Oṃ), là chuẩn mực của thẩm quyền chân thật, và là khổ hạnh ở mức viên mãn tối thượng.”
