Anuśāsana-parva 17
तेजसामपि यत् तेजस्तपसामपि यत् तपः । शान्तानामपि य: शान्तो द्युतीनामपि या झ्युति:
tejasām api yat tejas tapasām api yat tapaḥ | śāntānām api yaḥ śānto dyutīnām api yā dyutiḥ ||
Vāyu nói: “Đấng ấy là chính quang huy ngay giữa những bậc rực sáng; là chính khổ hạnh ngay giữa những người tu khổ hạnh; là sự tịch tĩnh tối thượng ngay giữa những bậc an tịnh; và là ánh rạng ngời giữa mọi điều phát sáng—Ngài là sự ưu thắng tối thượng trong mọi ưu thắng. Từ Ngài các thế giới sinh khởi, và vào Ngài chúng tan hòa; Ngài là Tự Ngã của muôn loài. Nay hãy nghe từ ta, hỡi bậc tối thượng trong loài người: ta sẽ tuyên thuyết một nghìn lẻ tám danh hiệu của Đức Śiva, Đấng rực sáng vô lượng. Chỉ cần nghe thôi, ngươi sẽ được viên mãn mọi ước nguyện.”
