Mahabharata — Anushasana Parva, Shloka 58
तस्मात् पापं न गूहेत गूहमानं विवर्धयेत् । कृत्वा तत् साधुष्वाख्येयं ते तत् प्रशमयन्त्युत
tasmāt pāpaṃ na gūheta gūhamānaṃ vivardhayet | kṛtvā tat sādhūṣv ākhyeyaṃ te tat praśamayanty uta ||
Vì thế, chớ che giấu điều sai trái của mình; tội lỗi bị giấu kín chỉ càng lớn thêm. Nếu đã lỡ phạm lỗi, hãy thưa bày với bậc hiền thiện, người có đức hạnh; họ có thể giúp làm cho nó lắng yên—bằng lời khuyên, sự sửa trị và việc sám hối chuộc tội.
