स्वदेशे परदेशे वाप्यतिथिं नोपवासयेत् । कर्म वै सफल कृत्वा गुरूणां प्रतिपादयेत्
Bhīṣma uvāca | svadeśe paradeśe vāpy atithiṁ nopavāsayet | karma vai saphalaṁ kṛtvā gurūṇāṁ pratipādayet ||
Bhishma nói: Dù ở quê nhà hay nơi đất khách, chớ để một vị khách nào phải chịu đói. Và việc gì các bậc trưởng thượng hay thầy dạy đã truyền, hãy hoàn thành cho trọn vẹn rồi bẩm báo lại với các ngài.
