चित्रभानुमनड्वाहं देवं गोष्ठं चतुष्पथम् । ब्राह्मणं धार्मिकं वृद्ध ये कुर्वन्ति प्रदक्षिणम्
citrabhānum anaḍvāhaṃ devaṃ goṣṭhaṃ catuṣpatham | brāhmaṇaṃ dhārmikaṃ vṛddhaṃ ye kurvanti pradakṣiṇam ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Ai vì lòng kính ngưỡng mà đi vòng cung kính, giữ bên phải (pradakṣiṇā) đối với lửa thiêng, bò đực, chư thần, chuồng bò, ngã tư, một Bà-la-môn, người sống theo dharma, và bậc trưởng lão—người ấy được kể vào hàng hiền thiện. Lời dạy nêu rõ dharma như lễ nghi sống: tôn kính những gì nâng đỡ xã hội và đời sống tâm linh bằng thái độ khiêm cung và che chở.”
