रुद्रस्य विक्रमं दृष्टवा भीता देवा: सहर्षिभि: । ततः प्रसादयामासु: शर्व ते विबुधोत्तमा:,रुद्रका पराक्रम देखकर ऋषियोंसहित सम्पूर्ण देवता थर्या उठे। फिर उन श्रेष्ठ देवताओंने भगवान् शिवको प्रसन्न किया
rudrasya vikramaṃ dṛṣṭvā bhītā devāḥ saharṣibhiḥ | tataḥ prasādayāmāsuḥ śarvaṃ te vibudhottamāḥ ||
Thấy uy lực vô song của Rudra, chư thiên cùng các bậc hiền triết đều kinh hãi. Bấy giờ những vị tối thượng trong hàng thiên giới liền tìm cách làm nguôi lòng Śarva (Śiva), mong được Ngài ban ân.
