दृष्टवा नातिप्रभं सोम॑ तथा सूर्य च पार्थिव । प्रकाशमकरोददत्रिस्तपसा स्वेन संयुगे
dṛṣṭvā nātiprabhaṃ somaṃ tathā sūryaṃ ca pārthiva | prakāśam akarod atris tapasā svena saṃyuge ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Tâu Đại vương, thấy cả Mặt Trăng (Soma) lẫn Mặt Trời đều không tỏa sáng trọn vẹn, hiền giả Atri nhờ sức mạnh khổ hạnh của chính mình đã rải ánh sáng trên chiến địa, xua tan bóng tối và làm cho thế gian rực rỡ.”
