एवमुक्तस्तदात्रिरवँ तमोनुदभवच्छशी । अपश्यत् सौम्यभावाच्च सोमवत् प्रियदर्शन:
evam uktas tadātrir avaṁ tamonudabhavac chaśī | apaśyat saumyabhāvāc ca somavat priyadarśanaḥ |
Bhīṣma nói: Khi chư thiên nói vậy, hiền giả Atri lập tức hóa thành Mặt Trăng, kẻ xua tan bóng tối. Với phong thái an hòa, dịu hiền, Ngài hiện ra đẹp mắt như chính Soma, và bình thản nhìn về phía chư thiên. Rồi khi thấy ánh sáng của Mặt Trăng và Mặt Trời trở nên mờ nhạt, Atri nhờ uy lực khổ hạnh của mình đã rải ánh quang minh khắp chiến địa, xua tan u ám và soi sáng toàn cõi thế gian.
