अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
उत्पत्तौ च विनाशे च कारण य॑ विदुर्बुधा: । देवासुरमुनीनां च परं यस्मान्न विद्यते
utpattau ca vināśe ca kāraṇaṁ yad vidur budhāḥ | devāsura-munīnāṁ ca paraṁ yasmān na vidyate ||
Vāyu nói: “Đấng mà người trí biết là nguyên nhân của cả sự sinh khởi lẫn sự tiêu vong của thế gian; và ngay giữa chư thiên, asura và các bậc hiền thánh cũng không ai cao hơn Ngài—đối với Chúa Tể tối thượng ấy (Mahādeva), ta xin quy y.”
