चतुर्णामपि वर्णानामाश्रमस्य विशेषत: । करोति सतत शान्तिं सावित्रीमुत्तमां पठन्,जो उत्तम गायत्री-मन्त्रका जप करता है, वह पुरुष चारों वर्णों और विशेषतः चारों आश्रमोंमें सदा शान्ति स्थापन करता है
caturṇām api varṇānām āśramasya viśeṣataḥ | karoti satataṃ śāntiṃ sāvitry-uttamāṃ paṭhan ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Nhờ không ngừng trì tụng Sāvitrī tối thượng (tức Gāyatrī-mantra), một người thiết lập sự an hòa bền vững cho cả bốn varṇa, và—đặc biệt hơn cả—cho trật tự bốn āśrama.”
