गुरुर्गुरुतमो धाम सत्य: सत्यपराक्रम: । निमिषो5निमिष: सत्रग्वी वाचस्पतिरुदारथी:
gurur gurutamo dhāma satyaḥ satyaparākramaḥ | nimiṣo'nimiṣaḥ sragvī vācaspatir udāradhīḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: Ngài là Guru—bậc thầy tối thượng; là bậc tôn quý nhất trong hàng thầy; là nơi nương tựa của toàn thể thế gian. Ngài là Chân Lý, có dũng lực không bao giờ sai lạc. Ngài là đấng nhắm mắt trong giấc ngủ yoga, và cũng là đấng không chớp mắt khi thị hiện làm Cá. Ngài mang vòng hoa chiến thắng; và với tư cách Chúa tể của lời nói và tri thức, Ngài có trí tuệ cao cả, soi tỏ khiến vạn pháp hiển lộ.
