Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
इति श्रीमहाभारते अनुशासनपर्वणि दानधर्मपर्वणि महापुरुषप्रस्तावे अष्टचत्वारिंशदाधिकशततमो< ध्याय:
iti śrīmahābhārate anuśāsanaparvaṇi dānadharmaparvaṇi mahāpuruṣa-prastāve aṣṭacatvāriṃśad-adhika-śatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ | (iti) — “Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, in the Anuśāsana-parvan, within the Dāna-dharma-parvan, in the section introducing the Mahāpuruṣa, the one-hundred-and-forty-eighth adhyāya is concluded.”
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Như vậy, chương thứ một trăm bốn mươi tám của Anuśāsana Parva trong Śrī Mahābhārata đã kết thúc—thuộc tiểu phần về dharma của bố thí (dāna), trong mạch văn giới thiệu và tán dương Đấng Đại Nhân (Mahāpuruṣa), Śrī Kṛṣṇa.”
