सम्मान्यांश्षावमन्यन्ते वृद्धान्‌ परिभवन्ति च । एवंविधा नरा देवि सर्वे निरयगामिन:

Transliteration

sammānyān avamanyante vṛddhān paribhavanti ca | evaṃvidhā narā devi sarve nirayagāminaḥ ||

Translation

Họ coi thường người đáng được tôn vinh, lại còn sỉ nhục bậc cao niên. Ôi Nữ Thần, hạng người như thế—tất thảy—đều bị định phần vào địa ngục; vì bị kiêu mạn và tham lam thúc đẩy, họ không chịu kính trọng bậc trưởng thượng và người đáng kính như thầy, mà trái lại đối đãi bằng sự khinh miệt.
