चिराभिलषितं किंचित्फलमप्राप्तमेव ते । कृतमन्यैरपह्तं तेनासि हरिण: कृश:

Transliteration

cirābhilaṣitaṃ kiñcit phalam aprāptam eva te | kṛtam anyair apahṛtaṃ tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||

Translation

Vị Bà-la-môn nói: “Có một kết quả ngươi hằng mong mỏi từ lâu, lẽ ra đã đến tay ngươi, nhưng ngươi lại không nhận được. Điều ngươi gây dựng đã bị kẻ khác đoạt lấy; vì thế, hỡi nai, ngươi gầy mòn, ánh sắc phai tàn bởi thất vọng và mất mát.”
