लोको हार्यगुणानेव भूयिष्ठं तु प्रशंसति । रूपमानवयोमानश्रीमानाश्षाप्पसंशयम्
bhīṣma uvāca | loko hārya-guṇān eva bhūyiṣṭhaṃ tu praśaṃsati | rūpam ānavayo māna-śrīmān āśāppa-saṃśayam ||
Bhishma nói: Phần nhiều người đời chỉ ca ngợi những phẩm chất làm vừa lòng và hấp dẫn. Sắc đẹp, sự khiêm nhường, danh dự và phú quý—đều thường được xem là dấu hiệu của sự ưu việt, không nghi ngờ gì.
