Adhyāya 122 — Śruta-vṛtta-yukta Brāhmaṇa and the Ethics of Dāna
Maitreya–Vyāsa Saṃvāda
।। स कीट एवमाभाष्य ऋषिणा सत्यवादिना । प्रतिस्मृत्याथ जग्राह पादौ मूर्थ्नि कृताउ्जलि:
sa kīṭa evam ābhāṣya ṛṣiṇā satyavādinā | pratismṛtyātha jagrāha pādau mūrdhni kṛtāñjaliḥ ||
Sau khi đã đối thoại như thế với bậc hiền triết nói lời chân thật, hữu tình ấy—khi ấy còn mang hình hài một con sâu—bỗng nhớ lại lời dạy và ân huệ của ngài. Rồi chắp tay cung kính, nó cúi lạy, đặt đầu lên chân vị hiền triết, bày tỏ sự khiêm hạ, lòng tri ân và sự quy phục đối với dharma.
