उपवासफलात्मकविधिः — Upavāsa as Yajña-Equivalent Merit

चत्वारिंशत् सहस््राणि वर्षाणां दिवि मोदते । वह चक्रवाकोंद्वारा वहन किये हुए विमानसे स्वर्गलोकमें जाता है और वहाँ चालीस हजार वर्षोतक आनन्द भोगता है
catvāriṁśat sahasrāṇi varṣāṇāṁ divi modate |
Aṅgiras nói: “Người ấy hoan lạc nơi thiên giới suốt bốn vạn năm.” Trong mạch văn, câu kệ nêu rõ quả báo của công hạnh: sống theo dharma và bố thí/phụng sự đúng pháp có thể đưa đến niềm vui lâu dài ở cõi trời, như một lời khuyến thiện trong giáo huấn về đạo lý.
