नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा
Nahūṣa Episode and the Commendation of Lamp-Gifting and Household Offerings
निमीलय स्वनयने जटां यावद् विशामि ते । स्थाणुभूतस्य तस्याथ जटां प्राविशदच्युत:
nimīlaya svanayane jaṭāṁ yāvad viśāmi te | sthāṇubhūtasya tasyātha jaṭāṁ prāviśad acyutaḥ ||
Bhishma nói: “Bạch hiền giả, xin khép mắt trong chốc lát, cho đến khi ta vào trong búi tóc bện của ngài.” Khi hiền giả nhắm mắt, đứng bất động như cột trụ, bậc kiên định, không vượt lễ nghi ấy liền nhập vào mái tóc bện—với ý định kéo nhà vua rơi khỏi cõi trời. Đúng lúc đó, vua Nahusha, tựa Indra, đến gần vị rishi, mong bắt ngài làm vật chuyên chở (người kéo xe) cho mình.
