नहुषोपाख्यानम्—दीपदान-धूप-बलीकर्म-प्रशंसा

Nahūṣa Episode and the Commendation of Lamp-Gifting and Household Offerings

इत्येतां बुद्धिमास्थाय नहुष: स नरेश्वरः । सुरेन्द्रत्वं महत्‌ प्राप्प कृतवानेतददभूतम्‌,इसी विचारधाराका आश्रय लेकर राजा नहुषने महान देवेन्द्रपद पाकर यह अदभुत पुण्यकर्म सदा चालू रखा था

ity etāṁ buddhim āsthāya nahuṣaḥ sa nareśvaraḥ | surendratvaṁ mahat prāpya kṛtavān etad adbhutam ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Nương theo lối hiểu biết ấy, vua Nahuṣa—sau khi đạt đến địa vị vĩ đại của Indra—đã thực hành con đường hạnh nghiệp kỳ diệu, đầy công đức này và duy trì nó không gián đoạn.”
