FAQs

It implies that certainty about the Supreme arises when doubt is removed through right instruction and grace; the Lord (here Viṣṇu) is approached as the reliable, truth-grounded power behind liberation, aligning Atman-realization with divine prasāda.

The verse highlights śaraṇāgati (surrender) as a direct spiritual discipline: accepting the Lord as refuge, letting teaching cut doubt, and receiving prasāda—an inner clarity that supports steadiness in dhyāna and ethical practice.

While naming Viṣṇu explicitly, the Kurma Purana’s synthesis treats true refuge and grace as qualities of the one Supreme Lord; the emphasis is not sectarian rivalry but the shared puranic principle that divine prasāda removes doubt and leads to liberation.
