The Lord Appears to the Devas and Instructs the Truce; Mandara Is Brought for Churning
This verse highlights reverent approach and respectful salutations (abhivādya) as an expression of devotion and proper spiritual conduct.
Hṛṣīkeśa is a name of the Supreme Lord meaning “master of the senses,” indicating that devotion is perfected by engaging one’s senses under His guidance.
Approach sacred duties with humility and gratitude—begin practices with respectful remembrance, and cultivate joyful reverence rather than mechanical routine.
