पिपीलिकादिभूतानि प्रेतभागं च सर्वशः॥ कृत्वा तु तर्पणं देवि यस्यार्थे तस्य कल्पयेत्
pipīlikādibhūtāni pretabhāgaṁ ca sarvaśaḥ || kṛtvā tu tarpaṇaṁ devi yasyārthe tasya kalpayet
اے دیوی، چیونٹی وغیرہ جانداروں کے لیے بھی اور پِریت (مرحومین) کے حصے کو بھی ہر طرح مقرر کرکے؛ یوں ترپن ادا کرکے، جس کے لیے یہ کیا گیا ہو اسی کے نفع و ثواب کے لیے اسے منسوب کرے۔
