yatra siddhā mahātmāno munayaḥ pitarastathā | svargaṃ prayāṃti te sarve svargadvāraṃ tataḥ smṛtam
Brahmā (deduced; Vaiṣṇavakhaṇḍa narrative voice)
Tirtha: Svargadvāra (Ayodhyā)
Type: ghat
Scene: A luminous gateway-like aura over a Sarayū ghāṭa; siddhas and sages in subtle bodies ascend skyward; pitṛs receive offerings and rise toward svarga.
A tīrtha is defined by its transformative power—where even exalted beings attain higher worlds, the site becomes a spiritual ‘gateway’ for all.
Svargadvāra in Ayodhyā, characterized as the place enabling ascent to Svarga for siddhas, sages, and ancestors.
No single rite is commanded here; the verse provides the etymological/functional praise defining the tīrtha as Svargadvāra.
