वेत्ता यो वेदविदुषां प्रभुर्यः प्रभवात्मनाम् । सोमभूतस्तु भूतानामग्निभूतोऽग्निवर्त्मनाम्
vettā yo vedaviduṣāṃ prabhuryaḥ prabhavātmanām | somabhūtastu bhūtānāmagnibhūto'gnivartmanām
وہ وید کے جاننے والوں میں بھی سب سے بڑا جاننے والا ہے، اور سرچشمۂ قدرت و آفرینش والوں کا ربّ ہے۔ وہ جانداروں کے لیے سوم رس بن جاتا ہے، اور آگ کے راستے (یَجْن کی ریاضت) پر چلنے والوں کے لیے خود اگنی بن جاتا ہے۔
