ṣaṇmukhena mahādevi tatra kṛtvā mahattapaḥ | pratiṣṭhitaṃ mahāliṃgaṃ kumāreśastato'bhavat
اے مہادیوی! وہاں شَنمُکھ نے عظیم تپسیا کی؛ پھر ایک مہا لِنگ کی پرتِشٹھا ہوئی، اور اسی سے وہ ‘کُماریشور’ کے نام سے معروف ہوا۔
