वरुणः सागरोंशुश्च जीवन्तो जीवनोऽरिहा । भूताश्रयो भूतपतिः सर्वभूतनिषेवितः
varuṇaḥ sāgaroṃśuśca jīvanto jīvano'rihā | bhūtāśrayo bhūtapatiḥ sarvabhūtaniṣevitaḥ
وہ ورُṇ ہے؛ وہ سمندر بھی ہے اور اس کی درخشاں کرنیں بھی۔ وہ زندہ ہے، خود زندگی ہے، اور دشمنوں کو مٹانے والا ہے۔ وہ مخلوقات کا سہارا، بھوت پتی، اور سبھی بھوتوں سے پوجا و خدمت پانے والا ہے۔
