tatra kṛtvā tapaścograṃ liṃgaṃ devaiḥ pratiṣṭhitam | taṃ dṛṣṭvā mānavo devi kṛtakṛtyaḥ prajāyate
Īśvara (Śiva)
Tirtha: Amareśvara
Type: temple
Listener: Mahādevī (Pārvatī)
Scene: A pilgrim ascetic near a radiant liṅga by the sea: seated in meditation with matted hair, minimal clothing, surrounded by devas’ subtle presence; upon opening eyes and beholding the liṅga, a halo of fulfillment surrounds the pilgrim.
Pilgrimage is not tourism but transformation: austerity and darśana culminate in a sense of fulfilled dharma and life-purpose.
The deva-installed liṅga of Amareśvara in Prabhāsakṣetra.
Perform tapas (austerity) there and take darśana of the liṅga.
