गौरीमेवं तथा शप्त्वा सा देवी वरवर्णिनी । उच्चै रुरोद सावित्री भर्तृ यज्ञाद्बहिः स्थिता
gaurīmevaṃ tathā śaptvā sā devī varavarṇinī | uccai ruroda sāvitrī bhartṛ yajñādbahiḥ sthitā
یوں گوری کو شاپ دے کر، وہ نہایت حسین رنگت والی دیوی ساوتری اپنے پتی کے یَجْن کے باہر کھڑی ہو کر بلند آواز سے رونے لگی۔
