prabhūtaṃ patitaṃ toye pramādāttasya bhūpateḥ | na labdhaṃ tena bhūpāla anveṣaṇapareṇa ca
Pulastya
Tirtha: Kanakhala
Type: ghat
Listener: Bhūpati/Bhūpāla (king)
Scene: At the ghat, a bundle of gold slips and splashes into the water; the king and attendants lean forward in alarm; divers/searchers scan the river; the current carries it away.

Kanakhala tīrtha, where the incident of the lost gold occurs.
None explicitly; the verse highlights the circumstance that precedes a later revelation about merit.
