śrībhagavānuvāca | yuṣmatkṛte samāraṃbhaḥ putrārthaṃ yo mayā kṛtaḥ | svasthānāccalite śukre kṛto moghodya vāyunā
Śiva (Śrī Bhagavān / Tripurāntaka)
Listener: Devas (assembled, kṛtāñjali)
Scene: Tripurāntaka speaks with grave compassion: he had begun an effort to produce a son for the devas, but Vāyu displaced the seed from its proper locus, rendering the attempt ‘fruitless’—a moment of cosmic tension before a new solution emerges.
Cosmic events unfold by higher ordinance; even divine plans manifest through precise order, restraint, and timing.
No site is named in this śloka; it contributes to the larger Māhātmya narrative context.
None; the verse explains a metaphysical-cosmic occurrence (vīrya/śukra being displaced).
