yadi naivopadeśaṃ me kañcittvaṃ saṃpradāsyasi | vyādhināśāya tattena tyakṣyāmyadya kalevaram
Candra (Moon)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Candra, trembling with desperation, declares he will abandon his body if not given instruction; the sage remains composed, ready to offer saving counsel.
Despair is redirected toward seeking upadeśa; Purāṇic narratives stress that right counsel can convert hopelessness into dharmic action.
The appeal occurs within the Prabhāsa-kṣetra māhātmya episode.
No ritual is specified; the requested ‘upadeśa’ implies a forthcoming practice (vrata, snāna, japa, etc.) to remove the disease.
