साऽब्रवीद्यदि मे तुष्टस्त्वं देव शशिशेखर । तत्पुत्रं देहि देवानां सर्वेषां बलवत्तरम् । यज्ञभागप्रभोक्तारं देवानां दर्पनाशनम्
sā'bravīdyadi me tuṣṭastvaṃ deva śaśiśekhara | tatputraṃ dehi devānāṃ sarveṣāṃ balavattaram | yajñabhāgaprabhoktāraṃ devānāṃ darpanāśanam
وہ بولی: “اگر آپ مجھ سے راضی ہیں، اے دیو، اے ششی شیکھر! تو مجھے ایسا بیٹا عطا کیجیے جو سب دیوتاؤں سے زیادہ طاقتور ہو—یَجْیَ کے حصّوں کا حق دار ہو اور دیوتاؤں کا غرور توڑ دینے والا ہو۔”
