न दत्तं वंशजैर्मर्त्यैश्चेद्व्यथां यांति दारुणाम् । क्षुत्पिपासासमुद्भूतां तस्मात्संतर्पयेत्पितॄन्
na dattaṃ vaṃśajairmartyaiścedvyathāṃ yāṃti dāruṇām | kṣutpipāsāsamudbhūtāṃ tasmātsaṃtarpayetpitṝn
اگر فانی اولادیں نذرانہ نہ دیں تو پِتر بھوک اور پیاس سے پیدا ہونے والی سخت اذیت میں مبتلا ہوتے ہیں؛ اس لیے چاہیے کہ پِتروں کو ترپن دے کر سیراب و راضی کیا جائے۔
