tato devagaṇāḥ sarve yajñabhāgavivarjitāḥ | pīḍyamānāḥ krudhā viṣṭā gatvā procuḥ pitāmaham
تب تمام دیوتاؤں کے گروہ یَجْیَہ کے حصّوں سے محروم ہو کر، رنجیدہ اور غضب سے بھرے ہوئے، جا کر پِتامہ (برہما) سے عرض کرنے لگے۔

Listener: Pārthiva (king)
Scene: A gathering of devas, faces tense, hands empty of yajña portions, moving as a procession toward Brahmā’s abode; their ornaments dimmed, suggesting deprivation.
Yajña sustains cosmic reciprocity; when humans abandon it, even the devas are said to suffer deprivation.
No tīrtha is named in this verse; it depicts the divine response within the Mahātmya storyline.
Indirectly, it underscores the necessity of yajña by showing the consequence of withholding yajña-bhāga.
