mahāsatī mahābhāgā sāvitrī sā pativratā | pūjyā ca sarvadevānāṃ jyeṣṭhā śreṣṭhā ca sadgaṇaiḥ

ساوتری ایک مہاسَتی، نہایت بابرکت اور پتی ورتا ہے۔ وہ تمام دیوتاؤں کے لیے قابلِ پرستش ہے—نیک جماعتوں میں بزرگ اور برتر مانی جاتی ہے۔
