putri tuṣṭāsmi bhadraṃ te stotreṇānena cānaghe | varaṃ varaya bhadraṃ te tava dāsyāmi vāṃchitam
Devī (the Goddess, newly manifest)
Tirtha: Nāgara Devī-sthāna
Type: kshetra
Scene: The manifested Goddess, radiant and compassionate, addresses the ascetic woman as ‘daughter,’ offering a boon; the devotee stands with folded hands, eyes lowered in reverence.
Bhakti expressed through hymn and purity of intent draws the Goddess’s pleasure and boon-bestowal.
A Nāgarakhaṇḍa tīrtha where the Goddess becomes pratyakṣa and offers boons (Adhyāya 169).
Recitation/praise by a specific stotra is presented as the cause for receiving a desired boon.
