tairvyāptaṃ jagadetaddhi nirasya tridaśādhipam | yajña bhāgāścadevānāṃ hṛtā vīryaprabhāvataḥ

Listener: Ṛṣayaḥ
Scene: Asuras overrun the world, Indra is driven away, and the gods’ sacrificial portions are seized—temples darken, yajña fires dim, devas appear dispossessed.
When yajña (sacred offering sustaining dharma) is obstructed, cosmic harmony breaks—prompting divine recourse to tapas and tīrtha-support.
Not named in this verse; it sets the crisis that leads Indra toward Gaṅgādvāra in the next sequence.
No prescription—rather, it highlights the importance of protecting yajña and the devas’ sacrificial shares as a dharmic principle.
