mucukundasya rājarṣestathānyalliṃga muttamam | tatra lopaṃ gataṃ viprāḥ sagarasya tu bhūpateḥ
اور راجرشی مچوکُند کا وہ اعلیٰ لِنگ بھی، اور اسی طرح راجا سَگَر کا (لِنگ) بھی—وہاں، اے وِپرو! پردۂ خفا میں چلا گیا۔
Sūta
Type: kshetra
Listener: dvijāḥ
Scene: Two ancient, partially overgrown liṅga-shrines near a tīrtha: one attributed to Mucukunda, one to Sagara; broken steps, banyan roots, yet a faint aura; brāhmaṇas/pilgrims rediscover and cleanse the sanctum.
Even royal foundations can become hidden with time; the Purāṇa preserves memory so devotion can be renewed.
Liṅgas associated with Mucukunda and Sagara within the Hāṭakeśvara-kṣetra Māhātmya landscape.
None in this verse; it is a historical-sacred listing.
