tasyāmeva tithau yogo vyatīpāto bhavedyadi | puṣkaraṃnāma tatparva sūryaparvaśatādhikam
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) (deduced for Māheśvara-khaṇḍa narration)
Tirtha: Puṣkara (as a named parva in this context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A grand parva at the tīrtha: crowds bathing, priests chanting, banners and lamps; above, a stylized celestial diagram shows Sun’s ingress and the Vyatīpāta alignment; the day is labeled ‘Puṣkara.’
Time itself can be sacred; certain yogas are celebrated as exceptionally merit-giving occasions.
The text is in the Mahī–Sāgara Saṅgama narrative, but this verse primarily glorifies the Puṣkara-parva timing.
Identification of Puṣkara-parva: the specified tithi combined with Vyatīpāta yoga.
