उवाच सा पिता दाता तं प्रार्थय सुदुर्मते । पितृप्रदेया यत्कन्या श्रुतिरेषा सनातनी
uvāca sā pitā dātā taṃ prārthaya sudurmate | pitṛpradeyā yatkanyā śrutireṣā sanātanī
وہ بولی: “باپ ہی دینے والا ہے—اے بدعقل، جا کر اسی سے درخواست کر۔ کنیا باپ ہی کے ہاتھ سے دی جاتی ہے؛ یہ شروتی کا ازلی حکم ہے۔”
