جواہرات سے جڑی ہوئی موزائیکی فرشیں دروازوں کے گپوروں کی چوٹیوں پر دمک رہی تھیں؛ اور سفید پلستر سے چمکتے ہوئے محلّاتی مکانات کی قطاریں واقعی ‘سودھ’ یعنی شاہانہ عمارتوں کے نام کی مستحق تھیں۔
